As the head of Research for Campaign Quality, you will lead a team of 30+ researchers and engineers to maximize the return for eBay sellers advertising campaigns. You will use advanced ML algorithms to guide sellers to maximize their advertising spend.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Setting the direction and vision to improve eBay sellers advertising campaigns performance through research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.

• Lead the research and engineering team that focuses on improving Ads Campaign performance through new algorithms and systems to achieve seller success.

• Partner with product managers, strategists, analysts and other engineering teams across eBay to grow our Ads business to $1B+ annually

• Technical Innovation, product delivery, and a culture of engineering excellence

• Be a thought leader contributing to the strategic vision of the team and product

Job Requirements:

• Masters (PhD a plus) in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. 10+ years of industry and management experience.

• Industry track record for Engineering and Technology excellence in an established AdTech enterprise

• Strong technical knowledge and experience in Machine Learning and software engineering systems.

• Experience with one or more of the following: Natural Language Processing, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting systems, ranking systems or similar.

• Successfully worked with partner engineering, design and product teams

• Publishing Technical articles and speaking in Engineering / ML conferences is a plus
